Achievements

 

 

In 2020 I was challenged by my then mentor to take on a fitness challenge that was greater than I had ever even considered.
As a group, all non runners were set a challenge to run a half marathon which was 13miles. All experienced runners were challenged to run a full marathon of 26miles. The furthest I had ever ran was 3miles to help support a friend in a charity run. My new mindset was bullet proof and I had a gut feeling within the 8weeks of training I could achieve half a marathon. 


That made me realise my goal wasn’t big enough. It didn’t scare me and I was quite confident. So after some careful consideration I decided to double my set target to a full marathon. From a non runner to 26miles. Day 1 of training and I achieved 1.6m and I was done. No energy left at all. But I was determined. I set myself small weekly goals and worked on my fitness and mindset for the next 8 weeks. On the 18th of December 2020 I achieved a huge goal. 26.2miles complete.  Only 1% of people ever achieve running a marathon. Without a solid mindset this goal would have never been considered never mind achieved.
